Hi, my name is Andrew Bass, and as of the writing of this testimonial, I have been working in the field of ABA for about a year.
I first got into ABA through a Facebook post of all things. I saw an add from Amber Nelms, the owner of Triangle ABA, looking for people who are interested in working with children with autism. At the time the only experience I had with children on the spectrum was my cousin who I’ve had the pleasure of watching grow over the years. I read that post and sent in application, knowing I had no experience in regards to the field but at least wanting to try. Not long after I sent in my application, I received an email to set up an interview. During my interview I was up front with Amber about my lack of experience in this field but how I was willing to learn. They decided to hire me on, train me, and give me an opportunity for o be a part of the Triangle ABA team. I can honestly say that working at Triangle ABA has been one of the best places I have ever worked. Yes the work is fulfilling, sometimes challenging, but worth every minute, however the team at Triangle ABA makes it even better. I’ve never had the pleasure of working with a team who communicates so well at all levels in the company. I have personally had the privilege of sitting down with supervisors to share my thoughts on a variety of things in the clinic and see it sometimes so changes that day. Beyond that, the level of care that goes into the daily constructive criticism amongst the team is unparalleled. I am proud to be a part of Triangle ABA and I look forward to seeing just how far we’ll go.

Hi my name is Tsianna Towns. I’ve been in the ABA field for a year and half now. Before I actually got into the ABA field I didn’t know anything about it and I originally wanted to go in the mental health field as a mental health counselor. After graduating from the illustrious North Carolina Central University with my Bachelors in Behavioral and Social Science, ABA actually found me.
One thing I enjoy while working in the ABA field is knowing that I get to work with my clients and help make a positive difference in their lives. I look forward to working everyday because every learner I encounter is the highlight of my day.
Currently, I am at Triangle ABA as a RBT. What I really like about Triangle ABA is that the company is very supportive. I really appreciate the fact that the staff is very helpful and always willing to lend a helping hand. I personally feel like it’s always room for growth in this field and within the company, I see myself growing within the company. My time here at Triangle ABA has allowed me to grow not only an RBT but also as a person.

I love working at Triangle ABA because you can just tell all of the staff love working with the kiddos and are passionate about this field. ABA is always the main focus, but the fact that the company also focuses on self-care and wellness for their staff is a huge bonus!

I found out about ABA through a discussion with a classmate in my introductory social work class. The class was discussing potential volunteer or work opportunities to be used as our 40 hours of experience for the class. My classmate mentioned how she worked with children with autism, and it sounded like a great opportunity. I tried to get into an ABA position that semester, but it did not work with my schedule.
However, I was passionate enough about the prospect that I prioritized making room for it in my next schedule, and that is when I was able to interview with Triangle ABA!
I was completely new to ABA when I started, but Triangle ABA was a good place to be new! The staff was warm, welcoming, and helpful, and I was the first to run through their comprehensive in-person 40-hour training. I found this training informative, and the company assigned me shadowing rotations alongside the sit-down content delivery. This gave me a variety that helped me learn quickly. My instructors were incredibly kind and answered all my questions.
ABA has been incredibly rewarding so far. I love coming into the clinic and seeing what clients have in store for me, and there’s never a dull day. It’s so amazing to see when clients make progress on their goals. A specific sense of joy comes from being directly involved with these clients and helping them learn. In addition, I have been learning a lot! This position has helped me improve my communication skills, time management, and client care practices. I’m excited to continue my work in this field, and I’m so thankful for the recommendation from that old classmate.

Hello, my name is Mari Baenen. I’ve been an RBT for seven years now. I got my start in the field working one-on-one in a classroom setting with a client. I learned a lot of skills from colleagues and used those to make sessions run smoother for my clients. I love watching clients progress as they gain new skills, learn to communicate and gain social skills. I have enjoyed working at Triangle ABA because of the diversity in education, knowledge, and skills. In a field like ABA, teamwork is essential to the best possible outcome for staff and clients. The ability to communicate effectively between BCBAs, RBTs, and administration has led to a cohesive work environment. Someone is always available to answer questions, assist and collaborate with.

I’m Joyella, and I have been working at Triangle ABA since August of 2021 and have loved watching this clinic grow!
When I started working at Triangle ABA, it was the first time I had ever heard of applied behavior analysis and I was very eager to learn. I had worked with kids before and knew that it was something the always wanted to do.
Throughout my time here, I have learned so much about ABA through co-workers, BCBA, and our monthly staff meetings.
There is always room to grow, and I am learning daily and applying those skills to each session. In June of 2022, I got promoted to RBT3, where I have people observe my sessions and help new hires become more familiar with the ways of Triangle ABA. I hope to continue growing here and our clients grow daily!

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
When my son was 2, he was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. My world became turned upside down, and I was filled with much fear and uncertainty. I also remember feeling so helpless.
I was blessed to have my neurologist recommend ABA as a treatment option for my child. And for my son ABA worked, he started making progress, and it gave back hope for his future. I was inspired to help other children and their families. I went back to school and became a Board-certified Behavior Analyst. I have been working in the field many years now, but I always knew I want to create an environment that produced change like my child experienced, which is what has birthed the founding of Triangle ABA. My heart and desire are to come along you and your child with support and effective treatment. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
